Our first short, Janjaal, was made with our own money. It went on to win 14 international awards, play at festivals in 9 countries and get a cinema release in Karachi. Now we want to make more films like it, and bigger ones.
That's why we welcome funding from investors, foundations, grant bodies, brands, crowdfunding backers and co-producers, whether you're in Pakistan or anywhere else in the world. We have projects in production, including Zawaal and A Soldier Beside Me, and we're always open to making a film you want to see made.
Every arrangement is put in writing before money changes hands: what the funds cover, how they're reported and what credit and rights each side gets.
